Allow me to introduce myself…

My name is Shane Gillies and I have been a graphic designer, well… my whole life really. I remember helping my mom (a church secretary) when I was a kid designing bulletin inserts and fliers. Like most designers, I view the world through a whole different set of lenses. I can not walk through someone’s home or down the street without picking up on design elements that may perhaps provide inspiration for future projects.

I reside in Allegan, MI with my wife and three kids (and one on the way). It’s a lovely small town and we love it here! I operate my business from a cool little office overlooking the river with lots of green trees right outside my window. If you are ever in Allegan, come to the Maurer Real Estate building and you’ll find me!

My Style…

So, here’s how I roll. I am all about becoming one with my clients. Now, before your imagination runs wild, I do not mean that I move in or do any creepy stalking. However, I like to either sit down with, Skype with, I.M. with, email or phone clients before we embark on a new project. I like to not only understand what their needs are with the project, but build a friendship by getting to know them on a personal level. I have found no better alternative to successfully producing quality design that meets or exceeds client expectations. As a result, the word “client” is replaced by “friend.”

What I offer…

As much as possible, I do not want clients to spend all of their time trying to secure a designer, programmer, printer, marketing professional, etc. I make every effort to be all things to all clients. Though I personally can not handle each of these roles, I have spent several years collecting reliable and trustworthy resources that do amazing work. I rely on these friends and colleagues heavily. The bottom line is that you can dump your project on me, and it will get done… by your deadline.
